Professor John Yuen
John is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong. His expertise includes cryptography, blockchain, cybersecurity and privacy. He has over 10 years of academics and industrial experiences. John has published more than 50 research papers and 10 patents in the US, China and Singapore. His past professional career includes Senior Researcher at Huawei Singapore Research Centre. He participated in the Huawei’s Cryptographic Expert Group and provide consultations on cryptographic algorithms used in Huawei’s products.
Peter Woo
Peter Woo is co-founder and Chief Strategist of EMALI and Vice-President of Hong Kong Blockchain Society. He is an executive with over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology, Internet, and Telecommunications sectors. He has worked for several multinational firms, including AT&T Asia-China as a Director for Telecom Data Warehouse and Double click/Google Asia-Pacific as Managing Director.
Synopsis:
Blockchain is quickly becoming a more-secure way for organizations to transact. However, majority of blockchain solutions, whether it is in pilot or production stage, have significant gaps. In this workshop, we will discuss appropriate ways to audit such blockchain solutions from technical, governance and compliance perspectives.
