The IIA provides ongoing opportunities for members and non-members to become authors. In most cases, authors of books and magazine articles receive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits required to maintain IIA certifications: Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®), Certified Government Auditing Professional® (CGAP®), Certified Financial Services Auditor® (CFSA®), Certification in Control Self-Assessment® (CCSA®), and Certification in Risk Management Assurance™ (CRMA®).
